Some of us are expecting the birth of a child, interviewing for a new job, discerning a call to ministry, preparing to plant a church, or considering getting married.Īnd, O Lord, there are many of us who simply struggle to rise and start the day.īe with, us O God. There are those among us who are starting treatment for an illness and those among us who are preparing to take the next steps toward death. Others are lonely and can’t find the courage to reach out in search for companionship. Some of us are struggling with the sorrow of watching another year draw to a close. ![]() Guide our steps and strengthen us for new beginnings. For I have seen affliction and wandering I have been downcast and broken-hearted. Heavenly and Almighty Father, I pray today for new beginnings. ![]() If you stopped loving the world for even one moment, we would cease to be. Pray for God’s mercy, which comes fresh every morning. You hung the stars in the sky, placed the planets in their orbits, and cause the sun to rise and set. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. We confess that, just like little children, there are times when we find this world truly terrifying. In comparison to the great expanse of eternity, our lives are only a puff of smoke. No matter how many seasons we have watched pass on this incredible earth, we are all only little children. You made us in your image and breathed your sacred breath into our lungs. It is You who are our mother and our father. Holy One, You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end:
